what about YOU ?
It’s time to speak about something I don’t understand. I regularly exchange emails with people willing to know more about the girls, our sessions or the clothes. This blog is daily visited by a good amount of persons and, even so, almost nobody write comments… don’t you have any question ? no opinion to share ? don’t you understand everything would be better if you would be active ? I have sometimes the feeling that’s useless, I mean, why should I keep this blog updated if we don’t share something more interesting than “I show you my work, buy it”. A lot of webmasters killed the community thinking internet audience is nothing more than customers to convert. That’s how we lost the “old school” internet philosophy and everybody ruined a dream. Like in our everyday life, people forgot to say “thank you” “I love it” “that’s cool” “she’s nice” … give a smile to life and share your feelings even if it’s basic comments ! One last word : I added a rating system to this blog few months ago. WHY ? only few people use it : is it too difficult to move your mouse and click on the stars ? Oh, sure, some persons use the system and rate several posts as “bad” even though they have no respect about the work completed. I can understand you give an “average” rating (two stars) when you don’t like something but I have a cynical smile on my face when I see the same guy giving a “bad” rating to several posts when this guy checks the blog daily and when he plays a different role in his private messages or emails. That’s the right attitude to ruin my motivation. Everyday, I tell myself “go on because they love it” but, one day, I will be fed up, I will stop posting free pictures and writing chronicles, adopt the “no clickable tumbnails” method for my websites and, that day, you will loose something cool.

Hi everybody !!!
I completely agree with Jerome…..
Me too as a model I apreciate a lot to read comments about my work on Captive sites or other ones….. I love to share a few words with people who visit these sites.
It’s a bit comforting and pleasant to know that there is some human beings behind the computors that dowload the pics !!!!!!
I really take lot of fun to make good pics and give visual pleasure to the members, so it will be wonderful if they could give their opinion about it by :
- Just telling that is good or not…
- Giving your vote in the right and real way.
- Or giving us somes ideas of what you want to see….
Personnaly, as a real fetish and bondage lover, I’m really often on this blog and happy to read more about JG’s productions.
On another way as a model I’m here too be present for all of you who would have questions, ideas……………………
So…………… See U !!!
Kisses,
*Mina*
I admit,
I’m lazzy, I’m using a rss feed-reader to follow all of your work (and you’re not alone).
The stars doesn’t show up in it.
I will do an effort.
:o)
Maybe that’s because we’re scared, maybe that’s because your work is so great. Or because the audience not always wants to be involved in what it sees.
No one is to blame, don’t you think?
Well, Dalventre, I disagree with you. Scared? Why, N body could know about you if you use a unique name. I morely thing people don’t want to get involved.
My take is that, as a member for quite a time now, I prefer to see a whole set before getting an opinion for several reason. Most of the time, picture arn’t significant about the quality of the set (which is quite usual).
But, well, for people simply rating “Bad”, as I did for the last update, It’s not always because the work is bad, but it could simply mean, “well, picture are great but I don’t like it”. There are thing you simply can’t explain why, it’s just like that, and, in this case (mine), I don’t think it would be useful to add another comment. No respect by rating bad? Well, I didn’t thing you woul take it like this Jerome. I could have been more explicit but then, I would talk about the “member picture”.
And, last one, (about the last breath play session with Anaïs), I simply did’nt like it because, as you said in the post, she is definitively too tired and, even if there are some very funny picture, as you also said, all the picture were taken with the same position/frame/… which make the set quite boring.
So, if you don’t mind I talk about the other picture, well, let’s go, you’ll have more post from me.

Hey hi…
I totally agree with Jerome…
I’m reading this blog since a few days now, since I’ve seen the plastic bag pic in his flickr portfolie and I think this blog is really great. I like to post comments on posts I like and I also like to read new things about the photoshootings.
By the way the… I haven’t seen the stars before I read this post… why? I don’t now. But until now I will use it… 3 stars up minimum!! ;-)
Jerome your work is very great… don’t stop posting here… I really love to read this blog. Especially when you write about the shootings and the feelings of the girls…
I also have a few great ideas for new shootings. Write me a mail if you want to hear some…
greetz from Germany!!

thank you Miss… I love your comments and that’s always pleasant to know of my favorite models checks my work regularly. See You Tomorrow :)

thank you for the explanation. Anyway, I think we are all a bit lazy and we forget people are waiting for something human on the internet. I don’t have a lot of time myself and I don’t comment enough on social networks but I try to do it regularly… but I understand people can’t write all the time too :)

to DALVENTRE >
don’t be scared about Big Brother… and about Big Jerome (LOL), I already heard things like this “I am nobody to give my opinion about your work”. Honnestly, I don’t search criticism because every people has different taste and I am skilled enough to know photography is not only what you want to do but mainly what you can do when you take the picture. Too many people don’t understand all things we have to manage to get good pictures… they begin to understand when they do their own pics. So, again, when I read people telling “I don’t love this angle” or “I don’t love her tatoo”, I don’t care about it. BUT I appreciate when someone write “I love this girl” or “I like the situation because…” : just because it helps me to think about the future shootings. I also appreciate special requests. For example, few months ago, one reader asked me if I already shot Anaïs gagged wearing her glasses… what do you think I did after this comment ? That’s what I love when requests can be satisfied. I know it’s a gift which would be appreciated by the person who made the suggestion and it’s a good thing if it helps to make my work more interesting. So, in few words, everybody can write his feeling, it’s useful for the community !

to NO SMILE >
indeed, you gave a bad rating on this one but some others are specialized in this little game. a common rule about polls is only few satisfied person will do a feedback when almost all unsatisfied people are very active.
first, this blog is not focused on the member’s area… would you give a bad rate to a soundtrack because you didn’t love the movie ? it seems you forgot this blog is a public place and we speak about what you can watch and read there.
second, I understand your explanation but, personnally, I wouldn’t do the same. to my eyes, “bad” is a strong word, sounds like “that’s bullshit” or “crappy”. I don’t loved Star Wars episode III but I admit that’s a technically a good job. Like at school, your rate includes the work made and the efforts. For me, “bad” means “no work, no effort, fuck you”.
third, you should learn that your taste is not what others can love. you didn’t love the breathplay set, some will love. some people love girl smiling, some other love the victim attitude… I don’t know who is right or wrong, I just know that’s stupid to give one extreme opinion like “bad” just because you don’t like it. I could admit it if pictures have been blurry or crappy but, sorry to be pretentious, these pictures are good and don’t deserve a bad rating just because you have a problem with the angle or the something else which is subjective. I know : one person, one opinion. But, for example, I could answer the point of view is an artistic choice to play with the dark tones. You can love it or not. You can understand it or not. Once again, some people are always complaining about minor things. You could be happy to discover something different on captiveculture, you could have a good feeling about the number of pictures available. No, you choose to express something negative. Boring ? That’s a recurring word at least we don’t propose french kisses or forced orgasms. Maybe you got the feeling because there are too many pictures in the set. In the other hand, people who will love it will be happy to get more than 100 pictures. Subjectivity !
it’s an non-stop discussion… you didn’t want to offend me, you misunderstood the meaning of the rating system. you know my feeling about all this now, just don’t forget photographers and models don’t love to think they worked bad… Sensibility :)

to BLACK SHEEP >
thank you for your kind words… that’s more stimulating than reading negative things. Please consider this comment like an email… write your suggestions to contact@gouvrion.com ! I will try to follow them if I can deal with it !
Well, I’m quite impressed by your job, but that’s right, now I realize that I don’t take the time to comment. Maybe because I think sometimes that my advice will be useless. And from your answer to Dalventre, it seems I’m quite wrong.
I’m a amateur photographer myself, and I keep admiring your work. I never got the occasion to work with models (even if I’m still looking for one), but I’m finding your work very inspiring.
I’m a beginner in the fetish world, but I love to learn and see what can be going on.
Anyway, as a blogger, I can perfectly understand the frustration you’re expressing here.
And, to conclude, I’d like to thank you for all the great pictures you’re putting on this blog. I may subscribe to CC soon.
Take care

Hi jG, I’ll be disappointed if you would stop maintaining this blog. I like to read your post, be kept aware of what you’re achieving and finding that I’m not the only one having issues when taking pictures with model. Did I tell you about the one who was asking to be paid 500 € per hour ? Yes I did … several times already LOL
It is also good for my ego knowing you’ve published such and such set where I had the pleasure to be part of. This might be the reason why I’ve chosen name of a famous flower as nickname for signing my pictures: because of my Ego or was that because of Ego of some models LOL ?
Reading previous comments, funny stuff talking about Big Brother is that I’ve got one watching at me when writing this post. I’m at the office right now, and the good think of your blog is that accessing gouvrion.com is more politically correct than captiveculture.com or latexculture.com from a Firewall point of view LOL
Keep up the good work.
Hi Jerome,
Late comment but your post just begs to be commented.
The issue is that we (as in We the Internet) are being told all year long by all kind of authorities that nobody is truely anonymous on the Internet and that everything is possibily tracked and stored for later retrieval. Be it by a legal authority or companies in the search business.
Given this fact, only people which have done their “coming out” about fetish can possibily post comments that are a little bit involving.
If you remove the requirement for a valid email and change “Name” to “Nickname” in your comment form, you might see a small improvement.
You will also notice that people are much likely to comment on communities like Flickr because they have a higher sense of privacy there that on a stranger’s blog. That and being (very) generally speaking, more artisticaly aware of their own taste.
Francois » Thank You Francois. Short reply : a/big brother is not watching you b/coming our for fetish looks like a strong word c/email are not validated which means you could put a fake one, same for name d/I think you’d be surprise by what Flickr do with your informations for commercial purpose … wake up dudes, you are not living in China and you are not living in the 80’s. your life is already on the internet and comment on a fetish blog is not illegal. :)
jG - came across this while checking your older blog entries, and all I can say is I sympathize (I ran a Yahoo Group related to my now-defunct paysite, Agents of BOUND, for about two years - and ended up talking to myself most of the time!). Unfortunately, you’ve just been introduced to the online audience phenomenon, where you can have
THOUSANDS of appreciative fans hanging on your every entry - but only ten or twelve people post, ever.
::waves to Mina:: I’ve enjoyed your bondage modeling, and jG’s work, since before I knew who either of you were…. :)
Best,
D.R. Darke
Sorry for not posting, but my visits are rare, being too busy with the monitoring of 3 sites and forums (on the darker side of BDSM (soon a 4th will open) and with trying to update on a regular basis my humble sadistico-humoristic blog.
I fully agree that there’s some desperation when I check the comments, they are so exceptional and when they come, they come from people I know and that I meet on the other forums and with who I also exchanging e-mail.
Some 2 years ago disappeared Insex.com. The forum was a swarm of contact, questions, answer, participation, posting from a several hundred of members (some members going back to the very beginning of the site in 1997 and for some before that. I’ve never found anywhere such a happyness in any other site or forum.
I’m going on only because I know that I have each day 100 visitors or so who come and appreciate my (soft) content. I know they appreciate because many of them return again and again.
I appreciate your site, because it is the bright side of the same BDSM.
Best
